Pink Tentacle has an article about an android acquiring nonverbal communication skills, but what I found most interesting is the article’s opening paragraph and its insights to the Japanese interest in robots:
As Japan’s population continues to age and shrink, more and more people are looking at robots as a way to improve productivity and support the nation’s changing lifestyles.
Does this mean a greater emphasis on robotics in Europe and America as our populations shrink in the coming decades?
